    Optimizing energy consumption in smart homes: Load scheduling approaches
    Wiley
    The study explores optimizing energy consumption in smart homes through load scheduling. By employing two meta-heuristic optimization techniques, we aimed to decrease electricity costs and the peak-to-average ratio while maintaining user comfort. The study focused on a grid-connected setup with rooftop solar panels and battery storage. Results showed a 4.5% reduction in daily electricity costs, demonstrating the effectiveness of our proposed strategies.
